This mod list would not be possible without Crusader4God's Mod List 2018, PredCaliber's Skyrim: Special Edition 2018 Graphics Tutorial, or nordic0cold's Nordic Skyrim - Yet Another Guide to Modding Your Skyrim SE. I cannot say that this mod list is fully my own. In reality, it is a combination of the three with additions, omissions, updates, and changes. I have taken just about a bit of everything from the three to create mine. I am fully disclosing that some sections may appear almost identical, however, I believe there are enough changes to warrant a new list. I highly recommend checking out their guides. Much of the credit is due to them, and without them, I would have no backbone to mine.
I love Skyrim, and I hope you do too. When it came out in 2011, I remember being hooked to my PC for hours on end. It was a new experience and introduced me to The Elder Scrolls series. However, after countless dungeons raided, trolls killed, and many other adventures, I began to see that Skyrim was a bit shallow. Ugly textures and repetitive gameplay marred my experience. Despite that, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is an excellent foundation. And because I was able to see this, modding was the best solution. I have never created a mod, myself, but have enjoyed what the glorious Skyrim community has done to the game. There's just about anything and everything you can find on the Nexus that alters TESV. At the time of creating this, the beginning end of 2019, it is time that I should contribute something to the community whom have so helped me enjoy this game so much more.
The point of this overhaul is to give you my interpretation of Skyrim and to introduce mods that you may not have been familiar with before. I must mention that this is also a collection intended for those who have played vanilla and would like to experience something refreshing. A more in-depth goal of this mod list is to emphasize the fantasy in Skyrim, but also increase the realistic-factor. To do this I have not only included textures, but quest and gameplay mods as well.
In short, my mod list seeks to make Skyrim pretty, add quality of life changes, and give players new content to explore.
