"Konahrik" means Warlord in Dragon Tongue. The Mask can only be obtained if you have all 8 Dragon Priest Masks. So that means, it is/was sort of "reserved" for the strongest "mortal" being aka Warlord. So it doesn´t make sense that the Draugr are attacking said Warlord. (I mean, you aren´t a Dragon Priest or Draugr of course, but you have the Soul of a Dragon and killed Alduin, "The World Eater" and you killed the 8 Priests if you have the Mask so you are in fact the strongest being aka Warlord and also somewhat of a Dragon yourself, so the Draugr would acknowledge you for being that strong or rather recognize you as the Warlord because of the Mask, even if you aren´t one of them.).
It works by adding a script to said Mask that temporarily adds you to the DraugrFactions (you also can loot their "homes" while wearing the mask) so if your wear them, Draugr don´t attack you (only works if they are not attacking you already.).
