Near Whiterun, across from Chillfurrow Farm, lives a mysterious Argonian Cat Herder.
His little cat shack is right on the river near the bridge.
Visit him and he will show you a list of rings which let's the cat know they are now your lord, or lady.

Installation:
Use NMM
Advanced Installation:
If you have a player home modification, you might have to re-summon your cat inside.
There is a player book you can find at the Argonian Cat Herder's Cat Shack.
Search for the cat you want and type help <cat name> 0. Then type player.placeatme <code> 1 .
That will summon the cat to you and he or she will sandbox in the area.
You cannot do that with the cats you can purchase or you will break your game.
You do not need to xEdit unless you are 100% sure you don't want a cat somewhere or you want to rename them.
Known Issues:
Omfg cats r not bein' cats?!!
The cats have their own behaviour files baked into the havoc system.
Until a 3rd party tool comes out or I can find a way to make their lay down and sits fire more often,
they will sit and lay down whenever based on what their behaviour graph tells them.
Sorry, I can't do more than that, but I will keep trying.
My cats are going outside?!
When you remove your Cat Ownership ring, make sure you are NOT near a door.
The cats tend to want to go outside and play.
Their sandbox area is supposed to be 512 units. Also, they cannot unlock doors
so if you have a way to lock your doors, try that if they keep trying to escape.
