要求-替代说明




描述

兼容性

Dragonborn补丁说明

REQUIEM - ALTERNATIVE DESCRIPTIONS




Description

Normally, when dealing with enchanted items, Skyrim takes magic effects contained in the object effect of the item, and adds descriptions together. That way you can easily add multiple effects, but the more you add, the worse description becomes (Arch-mage robes being prime example here). So, with that mod I try to change them to be more readable (and therefore more immersive ;)). Some inconsistencies found in Skyrim/Requiem files are things like base stats are sometimes capitalized, sometimes not. You can find "points of damage" and sometimes just "damage", also some weird word order (but I am not native speaker, so I wouldn't know for sure). I tried for descriptions to follow certain order when listing out buffs and consolidating them whenever possible (if more than 1 thing is increased by the same value, I list them together). Also, I got rid of "points" of damage, capitalization, where I felt there's too many buffs I consolidated them in the left pane of active effects (for example, you won't see 'Fortify <each magic school' when wearing Arch-mage robes, I just replaced it with "Reduce Spell Cost". So far I think I covered everything for base Requiem, it includes mostly effects applied on armors and spells. Oh, and I recommend using moreHUD Inventory Edition to make the description window larger.


Compatibility

For AZ Tweaks, you should be good if you load my mod before it and same goes for any other mods. You won't get full benefit if your mod is changing unique armors effects, but descriptions will be still improved (unless your mod changes that too).


Notes on Dragonborn patch

I assume that you use lilmoefow's SE conversion, which you can find on his dropbox under Requiem 3.4 patches. It's been a lot of work, since there are set items and sometimes confusing effects, or made in the way that prevented neat descriptions, so I had to change how the effects are applied. But, the effect should be nice. I have no idea why Miraak's gloves and boots are random with the description, so I didn't mess with it. Magic effect is a 'script' type there, so for now it's left alone. I also fixed few typos from the original mod, so descriptions should be in line with actual magnitude of some enchants.


Notes on 3tweaks patch

For this one, Fozar's Dragonborn is required. There's a lot of magic effects added, so not everything is done. I mainly focused on armor sets, potion descriptions, and stuff like that. Firesparks spell is pretty special now, and it will be like that until next version (you can change it yourself in xedit if you don't like it). I also fixed some wrong descriptions of spells and some enchants (spells that deal elemental and half that stamina damage, fortify illusion, fortify restoration). Overall, I think I'm going to get rid of descriptions written in second person, but there's a ton of stuff to cover. At any rate, the point is to have nice descriptions when you look at magic effects, so minor stuff which you see only in the inventory is not really a priority right now.

* Changing everything to second person (someday, maybe).
