Dark Ancient Falmer Armor was an experiment to see how different cubemaps affect the look of a mesh. There are 12 different variations of the armor with the base texture the same except for the accent colors. You can find the barrel on the balcony in the Forgotten Vale where you fight the Arch Curate or there is a barrel in qasmoke if you don't want to wait.

Initially I was not going to release it as it was an experiment but I liked the look of most, if not all of the variations so I thought I'd release it as. You can temper the armor and they include the crown set up as a helmet and not a circlet like the original. The crown does cause clipping with most hairs, that is probably why it was removed from the game to begin with. The armor can be worn with an elven helmet instead to get the perk for having a complete set. Temper with moonstone.

I re-colored this armor for my own use. They use the vanilla body but should be compatible with any other body.

A: Because when using most cubemaps, texture swaps do not look the same as they are intended to.
