This is a stop-gap mod, until someone with scripting knowledge releases something more complete.
Occasionally, you will find glazed candles that can be moved, bumped, knocked over, etc. They emit no light, and are basically worthless, except as decoration.
This mod uses that mesh, with an added light source, to allow you to place a small bowl of candles around your home or other dark area. This mod is not complete, nor will it be, as I lack the scripting knowledge to make a constructible light source. That means a few oddities, but a hopefully useful lighting option in return.
How it works: Install the mod. Use ~ to open console and type
help placeable
or
help "placeable candles"
which will bring up the ID number for you. (This will be different for others, depending on number of mods and load order.) Get the number, for the sake of example, say 07001234, and type
player.additem 7001234 1
to get one of them added to your inventory, or however many you want. Leading zeroes not required. Find the candles in the miscellaneous inventory, where gold, lockpicks, and soul gems are found, and drop the item on the ground or floor. It should fall already-lit, but if it doesn't, just pick it back up and equip it, then drop it. When you equip, you will see the carry-torch animation but there will be nothing in your hand. This is normal. I had to make the light source able to be carried, in order to enter a name. Otherwise, you couldn't find it in the console. If you pick it up and drop it again, it should "turn off" again. Once you drop it lit, then use the normal in-game drag movement to place it where you want, and turn it right side up. It should cast a small globe of light around it.
Alternatively, you can type
player.placeatme 7001234 1
to place them on the ground at your feet. They should "land" already lit.
*Remember, this is not the actual console ID number, as I have no idea what your mods/load order will cause that to be. Use the help function to find it in-game.
I used non-shadow light, to avoid interfering with other lighting, and the light source is a very-slightly brighter version of the defaultcandlelight. (1.15 vs 1 vanilla).
Install: Drop the .esp and .bsa (only one, no textures included) into your data folder.
Uninstall: Never recommended mid-game, but there is literally nothing in this mod but a light source and a mesh, so you shouldn't have any troubles if you do.
