————————————————————————————————————————

This is a simple, subtle, preset I made for ReShade because I wanted a preset with an specific "feel" to it, but couldn't find it. Now I've uploaded it here, in case someone else likes it. The idea was to make Skyrim look a bit more "rustic" and "rough", but not trying to be realistic nor over stylized. It's also way more "clearer" than vanilla.

I used this preset alongside Vivid Weathers (all settings to normal, and bloom to low) and ELFX, so nights and interiors are really dark with that setup. That's why I've also added CLARALUX to my modlist. However there's a couple of images comparing the vanilla skyrim (no mods) with this preset.

Installation

DahrkE already made a great guide on how to install ReShader. Go check it out in here.
The only difference is you have to choose my "Rustic View.ini". But you can have as many presets as you want and simply swap between them in the menu.

I'm also gonna add a list of the effects I tweaked. That way you know which effect does what in case you want to change it or turn it off.
Disclaimer: I'm no expert, so it's possible I've made a mistake or two in the description.

Effect Breakdown

AdaptiveSharpen: I know that many people dislike the sharpening effect, but I feel like the blurriness of Skyrim's AA actually takes away from the amazing textures (vanilla and mod). You can notice in the images how much detail is gained in a texture by just adding a bit of sharpening.

AmbientLight: This adds a nice touch to the exterior light. (specially in the day)

BloomAndLensFlares: I personally find heavy bloom very distracting, so I've added a very subtle, almost noticable, bloom effect and lens flare. Mostly because it helps to give a fake sensation of brightness, specially indoors. But you'll notice it more when looking at the day sky, even more if there are clouds. (with Vivid Weathers bloom set to "low")

Clarity: Just a way to lighten up the image. (I have my brightness set to default in the game options)

Colourfulness: It works very similar to vibrance and saturation, but it doesn't affect the brightness/contrast as much as the other two.

Curves/Levels: Adjustment to the blacks and whites so it doesnt look too dark/bright.

Deband: So, this is almost barely noticeable. but it does helps a bit. What it does is help to smooth out the "banding" that occurs when the color gradients or blends aren't totally smooth. Like, when you look up to the sky during a sunrise/dawn and see the different shades of the sky slowly changing, instead of a single smooth color. (hope that made sense, excuse my english)

DPX: This is one of the ways to get rid off that horrible green-ish/brown-ish skyrim filter everyone wants to get rid off.

Emphasize: This desaturates everything using a depth value. I've set it to really far, so only the farthest mountains from your view are a tad desaturated, just as the sky. This gives a small sensation of distance, without using fog, and helps desaturate the sky wich sometimes can look a bit silly and toonish with all these effects.

MultiLUT/Technicolor/Tonemap: Color correction effects, basically what instagram filters do.

MXAO (disabled by default): This is a way to "fake" Ambient Occlusion (the soft shadows that occur in the crevices and intersections of the meshes). It's a great way to add realisim and it looks cool, but it's resource heavy and it doesn't work that well in Skyrim. There might be visual glitches, specially near smoke/fog. (You can turn it on/off in the menu, or just press Shift+9)
