摄魂怪是在地球上行走的最肮脏的生物之一。他们感染了最黑暗,最肮脏的地方,他们在衰败和绝望中荣耀着,他们从周围的空中抽出和平,希望和幸福……离摄魂怪太近,每一次美好的感觉,每一次快乐的记忆都会被吸走您。如果可以的话,摄魂怪会给你足够长的时间,使你沦落为自己……虚无和邪恶的东西。除了一生中最糟糕的经历,您将一无所有。



摄魂怪是一种滑动的,类似幽灵般的亡灵生物,被广泛认为是世界上最可怕的生物之一。

摄魂怪的形状类似于人形,大约三米,或10英尺高,并被长长的黑布遮盖的黑色连帽斗篷所覆盖,使其与幽灵般相似。它的身体看起来像是灰色的腐烂的尸体,像一具正在腐烂的尸体。它的呼吸声像是在试图从房间里“吸除空气”以外发出嘎嘎叫声。它的手是“闪闪发光的,灰色的,粘糊糊的和被擦伤的”。他们似乎散发着寒冷。摄魂怪的脸空洞的眼窝上覆盖着sc伤的皮肤。嘴巴上应该有一个大的大洞,用来吸吮受害者的生命力。摄魂怪由于没有眼睛,因此也被称为盲人。但是,他们可以通过感知受害者的情绪来感知附近是否有存在。

Dementors are among the foulest creatures that walk this earth. They infest the darkest, filthiest places, they glory in decay and despair, they drain peace, hope, and happiness out of the air around them... Get too near a Dementor and every good feeling, every happy memory will be sucked out of you. If it can, the Dementor will feed on you long enough to reduce you to something like itself... soulless and evil. You will be left with nothing but the worst experiences of your life.


A Dementor is a gliding, wraith-like undead creature, widely considered to be one of the foulest to inhabit the world. 
Dementors have a humanoid shape, approximately three metres, or 10 feet high, and are covered in dark hooded cloaks of long ripped black cloth, making them closely resemble wraiths. Its body is greyed and decayed looking, like a decomposing corpse, and its breath sounds rattling like it is trying to "suck more than air" out of a room. Its hands are "glistening, greyish, slimy-looking, and scabbed". They seem to exude cold. A Dementor's face has empty eye sockets, covered with scabbed skin. There is a gaping large hole where the mouth should be, which is used for sucking the vitality of their victims. Dementors are also known to be blind, as they do not have eyes. However, they can sense whether a presence is near them or not, by sensing the victim's emotions.
Dementors feed on human happiness and thus generate feelings of depression and despair in any person in close proximity to them. They can also consume a person's soul, leaving their victims in a permanent vegetative state, and thus are often referred to as "soul-sucking fiends", rendering a person an 'empty-shell' to be used as a death-thrall.
Dementors seem to suck all the light and happiness from the air as they draw long rattling breaths, and cause darkness to close in everywhere and the victim to feel incredibly cold. They can glide toward a victim without sound. 
Their sapience is heavily debated: they are sentient enough to taste and sense fear, being drawn to it and the promise of positive memories that it can feed off of. They are also intelligent enough to be greedy: they obeyed to dark mages and vampires for years because, in their duties, they are provided with the sustenance of any remaining hope or happiness in the prisoners. They can understand and follow at least simple instructions. They could also communicate, implying that they can speak or otherwise communicate with wizards. On the other hand, most mages see Dementors as vicious creatures and that they won't ever differentiate between those they are hunting and those that stand in their way. 
Dementors are direct spawns of the Ideal Masters on Soul Cairn, and are not known to permanently inhabit any other location, except the ones summoned and bound on nirn by wizards and vampires. 
Outside Soul Cairn, Dementors appear to hunt for prey in groups of variable size, commonly between 2 and 5, when summoned, also sometimes acting as guardians of necromancer lairs. They appear to attack by first surrounding their targets, cutting off any escape, then descending upon them all at once to feed.
Despite not very strong, they have a strange physical nature, changing between tangible and intangible, so, commonly arrows and projectile-like magica does not affect them, also in most cases weapons are not usefull too. The best strategy is to use massive destruction area spells or shouts, or use light based spells such as light cloaks and specially the area spell Bane of the Undead that makes them flee. But, not all them attack if not attacked first, specially the ones guarding the entrance bridge of Harkon's castle. Other example are the ones guarding the Chill, the winderhold prison, this ones only attack if you break the jail and try to escape.
Also the ones that roam the volkihar castle ruins on the other side of the island, and the ones on soul cairn, despite aggressive, only attack if you get really to close, so are easely avoidable. A special group on Hob's Fall Cave seems to have a different behaviour, attacking in group if you get to close to one of them, but this is not they're regular behaviour.
Except this cases, the only other ocasion when you may find a dementor in the world are the ones summoned rarely by master necromancers, and i strongly suggest you to defeat the summoner, and not the beast.
In combat, besides the dark effect they cause in the surrounding area including frost damage, they only use 2 abilities, one is the vitality draining, that absorbs all your vitality (stamina, magica and health) when they place themselves in frount of you and sucks your energy into them. The real dangerous spell are the soul tear spell they cast, that literally steals your soul to the ideal masters, and resurrects the body of the victim as an empty death-thrall.
To exit the dark area effect they cause when in combat, you can run from it, you can destroy the dementor, or you can wait untill the effect fades. They dont chase you for a long time, so, to make things balanced, you can simply run from them.
They are not exactly planned to be a regular enemy, but much more to be repulsed by light magica, despite this, you can still kill them. 
To obtain the master lvl spell to summon one of them, kill a master necromancer that summons dementors, and obtain the spell book.
