For the main file, I literally only ran the meshes through SSE NIF Optimizer and fixed the name of one of the misnamed textures. I can't say I understand what that did, but I don't have any issues with the meshes or textures

The optional files
All optional files are formatted as ESLs

MT_MeekoFoxRed

changes Meeko's into that of a red fox and reduces his scale from 1 down to .8

makes Meeko essential and allows him to scale to PC level (10 -> infinite at 1x rate) instead of being capped at 25

increases Meeko's health and gives him stealth related perks

and nothing else. He still uses dog animations and sounds because I'm pretty sure changing his race to FoxRace would break him

he should still look like a fox if you don't download the main files, but the mesh and texture will be whatever you already have installed

MT_MeekoFoxSnow: same as above, except now he looks like a snow fox and his scale is .7

MT_VigilanceFoxRed

same thing as red fox Meeko, except Vigilance is slightly bigger (.85 scale) and no longer affects the stealth meter, like Meeko. He also has a perk for 15% increased damage, as he is called a "trained war dog"

MT_VigilanceFoxSnow: same as above, except now he looks like a snow fox and his scale is .75

MT_FriendlyFoxes

protects all foxes (including Pumpkin) and makes Kit (Hearthfire kids' pet fox) essential

all foxes are slightly faster, have better stats, and scale to PC level (.5x PC level/1x for Kit)

puts all foxes into a unique faction so they no longer run from you or get attacked by hunters, but will otherwise still be attacked normally (such as by sabrecats and spiders)

also makes red foxes slightly bigger than snow foxes (.67 scale and .58 scale)

Incompatibilities

Assume that anything that changes the fox meshes or textures is incompatible

Anything that edits Meeko will obviously be incompatible with the optional Meeko files, and anything that edits Vigilance will be incompatible with the optional Vigilance files
