概述

OVERVIEW

During my travels around Skyrim, I felt cave entrances lacked immersion. Too often I would approach a cave's entrance feeling as if I was walking into a rock face prior to teleportation to its interior.

I had noticed Bethesda used a static "DLC2GlowFillBlack" to give the illusion of cave entrances as dark voids, but they only used this on a couple occasions. So to improve my immersion, I applied this same technique to 111 vanilla cave entrances in total across Skyrim (99), Solstheim (6), Dayspring Canyon (2) and the Forgotten Vale (4) that I felt needed improvement.

I also moved and resized the AutoLoadDoors attached to 96 of these caves to provide a better transition into their interiors. Subsequently, in doing so I also fixed quite a few caves whose AutoLoadDoors were so big or poorly positioned that you would receive the on-screen entrance text for a cave from its side or backside, not just its entrance.

While not required, Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch changes have been incorporated.

COMPATIBILITY & CONSISTENCY

I originally started this mod back in 2014 and only recently revisited Skyrim and completed it. I did not revisit my previous work so there may be some inconsistencies or errors in my modding between 2014 and 2019. If you find any with issues do let me know and I'll try to remedy them.

This mod will certainly conflict with any mods that alter the AutoLoadDoors. I suggest loading this mod later to keep them lined up with my visual effect, but ultimately this shouldn't result in any major conflicts
